Barangaroo Reserve

Barangaroo Reserve is a beautiful park on the Harbour’s foreshore; once an industrial site, it has since been redesigned to make it a spectacular headland park for visitors in the city.

This park has revolutionised green spaces in Sydney and is the perfect place to enjoy a quiet day.

The concrete container terminal that was once an eyesore has been creatively redesigned to provide a natural setting for the more than 75,000 native plants that have since been planted at this beautiful park.

Whether you want to walk along the trails while smelling the flowers or prefer a late evening jog to recharge, you can be sure this beautiful park has it all. There are also cycling trails for biking enthusiasts, picnic spots for the whole family, as well as scenic coves for quiet contemplation. Enjoy a guided tour of the park, and do not pass up the opportunity to marvel at the unique rock pools carved out of the thousands of blocks obtained from the site.

Look out for the Barangaroo Ngangamay multimedia experience, which uses modern technology to tell the story of Aboriginal people native to these lands and their rich culture. Visitors can view artwork and information using a downloadable mobile phone application. In addition to this, you may also enjoy the Aboriginal culture tours and come up close to the site’s rich historical past. The guides also share stories of the country’s First Nations People and, more specifically, the Eora Nation.

Visit Barangaroo’s food and retail district and treat yourself to tasty delights along Wulugul Walk. This is the perfect dining experience because it combines the quaint village setup with an array of contemporary dining options.

The best way to get to Barangaroo is on foot, by bicycle, or public transport. Barangaroo Reserve is easily accessible for those with limited mobility. If taking the train, get off at Circular Quay or Wynyard. For the latter, consider the Wynyard Walk tunnel, which takes around 10 minutes from the station to the park.
