Campbelltown Stadium

Campbelltown Stadium is one of the state’s premier stadiums and plays host to a wide array of events in Sydney. These range from local to national level competitions, making it a popular sporting destination in the city.

For a stadium that was once farming land, this stadium has evolved to be one of Sydney’s most prestigious locations.

The stadium was opened back in 1970 and was initially referred to as Orana Park, a name which was derived from the Aboriginal word for ‘welcome’. At the time, the park was home to the Kangaroos Football club – one of the oldest clubs of its kind.

The rectangular football stadium is renowned for its world-class playing surface that makes it a force to be reckoned with in the National Rugby League competition. This stadium is also home to the Wests Tigers team; but regularly hosts local level football, rugby union and rugby league. Suffice to say, the stadium can transform from one sport to another in less than 12 hours. In 2011, the stadium was even converted to a motorcycle track, bringing to life the Monster Energy Super X event.

With a capacity of 20,000, the stadium is also able to host community events; most notably the Campbelltown Christmas Carol celebrations and a host of outdoor movies. The stadium is also available for hire for interested visitors. There is a video screen, as well as eight light towers for floodlighting.

A public kiosk and bar facilities are available on location with five permanent food and beverage outlets to serve a range of food and refreshments. For corporate facilities, a corporate suite, sky lounge and function room are all available. There is accessible seating and disabled parking at Campbelltown Stadium.

For major events, temporary ATMs are installed, as well as a few permanent ATMs located nearby at the Wests League Club and Leumeah Shopping area. Animals are not allowed, except for official assistance animals and guide dogs.
