For visitors touring Sydney for the first time, nothing beats visiting Circular Quay. This is the key transport hub at the Harbour and it’s worth mentioning that this is also home to two of the city’s most popular landmarks – the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. You could enjoy sightseeing with the younger ones or, if they are older, take a one-hour tour in the Sydney Opera House.
When travelling with the little ones, there is nothing as exciting as seeing wildlife in a natural bush setting – not too far the CBD. This is exactly what Taronga Zoo promises – an unforgettable day discovering the local wildlife. There are also animal encounters that give the little ones a chance to come up close with the different animals that call this zoo home.
Luna Park welcomes the whole family to enjoy its amazing amusement rides and attractions. With its giant smiling face at the entrance, there is no doubt this is a wonderful place to make great memories. From giant slides to the gigantic Ferris Wheel, dodgem cars and even the Wild Mouse, there’s so much for the little ones to indulge on. Luna Park is just a few minutes across the Harbour Bridge.
Take time to visit the Royal Botanic Gardens; undoubtedly one of the most delightful gardens around. With the kids, this is a perfect picnic destination. Pack your blanket and take an hour or three to enjoy the serenity of these gardens. If you have a little more time, enjoy walking around to Mrs Macquarie’s Chair, which offers amazing views of the city.
