On arrival, one of the first things that you will notice is that the beach is a long strip of white sand alongside a small jetty. If you want a place to enjoy a relaxing dip, this is the perfect location. On a good day, it is easy to find yourself alone at the beach – indeed, an idyllic place for some quiet contemplation. Part of the reason for this is that access to the beach is restricted.
Pet owners can bring their dogs along, but they must be on a leash. What’s more, poles and fences are strategically located along the shoreline. Visitors can tie their dog leashes to these poles while they enjoy a swim.
It is impossible to visit this beach and not enjoy the panoramic views it offers of the harbour. Soak in this majestic beauty as you play with the kids or catch up on a good book. The beach is also ideal for relaxing, so if you are looking for something to take you away from the city hustle and bustle, then Lady Martins is the place to be.
Entry is free to the general public, and the beach remains open from dawn to dusk. Use Wolseley Road until you get to the Yacht club, and then follow the signage to Lady Martins Beach.
