Narrabeen Beach has four surf lifesaving clubs along its two-kilometre stretch. The clubs make up an important part of the beach as they provide patrol services to ensure the safety of surfers, swimmers and all beach-goers. Swimmers must note that they must remain within the flagged areas, as there are several rips along the Strip.
One of the most popular clubs is Narrabeen Beach Surf Life Saving Club, located right in the middle of the beach and within Birdwood Park. Some amenities include picnic tables, showers (external), public washrooms, and BBQ facilities. A children’s park is popular with the little ones, and it is perfect for them to expend their energy.
Look out for the Surf Club, whose most prominent feature is the ocean vista that provides sweeping ocean views. The floor-to-ceiling vista and its tastefully designed interiors have made the club an iconic destination for weddings and events.
Narrabeen Beach is accessible by Ocean Street and is about 40 minutes away from the CBD. Nearby attractions include Mona Vale and Newport Beaches, with accommodation also readily available close to the beach for the quintessential Sydney beach vacation.
