The tour will lead you through each aspect of the building’s history, leaving no stone unturned. You will learn that the house took 14 years to build and is the brainchild of Jorn Utzon, a Danish architect of international repute. This is also a chance to appreciate his engineering prowess and the challenges of building one of the most easily recognisable buildings in the world.
Taking a Sydney Opera House Tour also allows you to visit areas behind the scenes that are ordinarily inaccessible to the public. The tour last for around 1 hour and you will be taken around the venue by an experienced guide. The tours are available in both English and Chinese.
The Sydney Opera House tour is suitable for children and is not a strenuous tour. Please note that there are some stairs involved in the regular tour, so for those with a disability, there is a daily 12pm Access Tour.
