Tamarama Beach is lovely between two key headlands along the Bondi to Coogee Walk.
This small beach has about 80 metres of shoreline, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for with excellent surfing conditions.

As mentioned above, this beach is perfect for surfers needing a wild water adventure. However, surf conditions are characterised by rips and shifting sandbars, which may not be ideal for inexperienced surfers. Additionally, these conditions make it unsuitable for wading and swimming. That said, it is essential to take notice of the lifesavers present.
For visiting families, there is a playground at the beach’s back end. It features grassy sections where the little ones can run about and have a good time. The playground is also shaded, making it an idyllic place to get away with the kids after a long week. The beach is also shaded at certain times of the day, thanks to the cliffs.
There is also a kiosk nearby, so be sure to cool the summer heat with any of the treats available there. If you prefer, you can prepare your meals at the BBQ area provided. A toilet block is also available on location.
While parking is available, it is sometimes tricky to access on weekends when beachcombers come out in their numbers. For this reason, plan to make an early arrival or choose to walk from Bondi Beach, a kilometre away. You may also access ‘Glamarama’ from Bronte Beach, another stunning destination a short distance away. The Tamarama Life Saving Club is also located nearby for board lovers.
Tamarama Beach is home to the Sculpture by the Sea exhibition, which attracts art lovers from all over the state.
So, this glamorous beach is a great destination whether you love art or surfing or are just looking to unwind and sunbathe.
