Timbertown

The Timbertown Heritage Theme Park is one of the most beautiful heritage parks in Australia and a fascinating destination in its own right. If you are looking for a place where you can step back in time and enjoy life as it was in the past, then look no further than this park.

The heritage park is set on an expansive 87 acres and encompasses a whole village.

Timbertown History, Ticket Prices & Opening Hours, Wauchope NSW

The aim of putting up this village is to ensure that the park captures the essence of life as led by the country’s pioneers – their struggles and triumphs.

Timbertown was opened in 1976 and has since attracted a large number of people from Australia and around the world. In addition to the village setup, there are many amazing things to do. How about taking time to watch the bullock show with the little ones, enjoy a ride on the steam railway, or take your chance panning for gold.

For those who love a farm setting, there is the chance to feed the animals – one of the most exciting activities the kids can engage in at the park. Some of the animals include ducks, chickens, pigs and alpacas. Take the farm experience a notch higher and watch the cow milking. Alternatively, take a ride on a horse-drawn wagon and marvel at the size of the village.

The Maul and Wedge License Restaurant and Function Centre is perfect for different events. Pass by Wallaces Store to get treats for the quintessential sweet tooth experience. Other amenities include the Vickers Fudge Factory, The Heritage Playground, and Timbertown Winery.

Facilities include picnic areas and camping grounds. The park is mostly wheelchair-friendly, including the Steam train journey. Because of the farm’s working animals, the park does not allow pets, but guide dogs, and assistance dogs are allowed.
