Annual Sydney International Bachata Festival

The Annual Sydney International Bachata Festival is Australia’s largest Bachata dance festival and concert and the first festival dedicated to this dance.

Local and international dancers perform world-class shows over three days, which include an urban Bachata concert and three days of dancing workshops for individuals interested in learning the Bachata or other Latin dances.

The Welcome Party is held on the event’s first night. The evening is filled with activities, including dinner, a show by national dance artists, workshops, a Latin dance party, performances, and live music. However, the full pass doesn’t include access to the Welcome Party, so those interested must purchase separate tickets.

The event attracts passionate individuals about the Bachata dance, and it’s the perfect opportunity to learn about it from the talented international instructors who travel to Sydney for the show. Other dances you can learn at the workshop include Kizomba, Zouk, Samba, and Reggaeton.

There are workshops for beginners to advanced level dancers, with special Master Workshops available, although this isn’t included in the full pass. Master Workshops require a separate registration and are only available in limited numbers.

The Annual Sydney International Bachata Festival is famous in the international dance community, which makes it a highly anticipated event each year. Many instructors and performers come from the Dominican Republic, home to the most talented Bachateros.
