Carols by the Sea

Carols by the Sea is an annual community event inviting everyone to celebrate the festive season. It offers a unique way to share Christmas cheer through songs in seaside locations in and around Sydney.

In the past, the events have occurred at Bondi Beach, Coogee Beach, and Woolgoolga Beach.

The one-night-only event in early December features live and choir performances of Christmas classics, carolling, and kids’ entertainment. Entertainment will include local young performers, Christmas songs with Kule Yule and Lara Nakle, the fabulous Bondi Brass, craft activities and maybe even a visit from Santa!

Attendees are invited to sing with the performers; song sheets will be distributed during the event. The event is open to all, and there is no need to register beforehand. Most of the shows will be free, but the payments for activities such as crafts and face painting will be donated to charities.

Carols by the Sea is an outdoor event from around 4pm onwards; for the most enjoyable experience, bring a rug or cushion to sit on as you enjoy the carols with friends and family.
