Sydney’s Oktoberfest in the Gardens is coming again and is inspired by the love of traditional Bavarian festivities, including food, drink, and culture.
The national Oktoberfest celebrations are held in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, and Adelaide, but Sydney has Australia’s biggest and best Oktoberfest celebrations.

Inspired by a deep love of the traditional Bavarian festival and great bier, Oktoberfest in the Gardens returns with two massive big-top bier halls, authentic German food stalls, DJs, roving performers, a sideshow alley, silent disco, dodgeball, and an eclectic mix of entertainment and on-stage competitions across multiple stages throughout the afternoon and evening. Take your tastebuds on the ultimate Euro trip with a mouth-watering selection of imported German bier, spirits, cider, wine, and a range of other bevies!
Entertainment
Step out onto the grass and into a world like no other!
Don’t be a pretzel and get it twisted — Oktoberfest in the Gardens is much more than just beer and bratwurst! There’s lots on offer around the country this year with a different layout in each city!
Embrace the carnival atmosphere with multiple stages of live entertainment & DJs, roving performers, competitions, sideshow alley, silent disco, and, depending on your city, wood chopping demos, thrill rides, and our Berghain-inspired Rave Cave! Plus, as always, there will be plenty more surprises in store!
Main Stage
Starting with some great bands, German Oompah, and building into the night with our Oktoberfest party DJs, the main outdoor stage will be a focus of entertainment throughout the day.

Silent Disco
Featuring up to 30 local DJs across various genres, this massive three-channel silent disco will be a focal point for partygoers at Oktoberfest in the Gardens!
Beer Hall & German Stage
Our famous Beer Halls are back, bigger and better than ever before, with an action-packed atmosphere you won’t want to miss! To replicate the traditional München festival, there’ll be a long list of German entertainers, including Oompah brass bands, accordion players, and on-stage games.
Later in the day, the festivities turn up a notch, with our live bands and DJs blowing the roof off the BEER HALL to get you all dancing. PROST!
Performers
Oktoberfest in the Gardens covers all the bases, from the outright ridiculous to the incredibly talented. We’ve got musicians, magicians, clowns, circus performers, mimes, and many more roaming the grounds to keep you entertained all day.
Rides & Games
For the young at heart, we’re rolling in a sideshow alley for some extra fun!
Fancy some target practice, bumper cars, or a wild thrill ride? There’s something for everyone at Oktoberfest in the Gardens.
Dodgeball
1, 2, 3, DODGEBALL! Challenge your crew to five-on-five battles in our inflatable Dodgeball Arena.
Competitions
Event MCs will host several Oktoberfest-themed on-stage games and competitions throughout the day. Win prizes for Miss (and Mr) Oktoberfest, stein holding, bratwurst eating competitions, and some other traditional Oktoberfest games.

Live & Local Stage
Oktoberfest in the Gardens will feature a live and local stage where up-and-coming local bands will battle it out for ultimate Oktoberfest glory. The talent we’re seeing this year is remarkable, so make sure you catch a glimpse.
The Berghain-Inspired Euro Rave Cave
Our Oktoberfest Rave Cave draws inspiration from the famous Berghain nightclub in Berlin and other famous European festivals like Tomorrowland; let’s DANCE!
Get past the infamous doorman to enter a portal into some of Europe’s best clubs!

Your Oktoberfest in the Gardens experience wouldn’t be complete without the very best authentic German food & bevies, as well as a few hometown favourites!
Each city will feature a different lineup of food and drinks from our travelling food vendors alongside a host of local caterers and food trucks.

Don’t miss a mouthful of authentic German food at Oktoberfest in the Gardens! Given that our menu is different in each city, we can’t outline an exact menu, but we can promise it’ll be delicious! We’ll have a host of traditional German options alongside your favourite local caterers and food trucks. Wherever possible, we select vendors that cater to a range of dietary requirements. Get your taste buds tingling with a sample of some of the delights we’ll offer nationwide!
Let’s Drink!
We’ve got a huge range of imported beer, cider, and other beverages available for purchase at Oktoberfest in the Gardens. Sip on ice-cold event steins from some of Germany’s most iconic breweries and some local brews, too! We’ll also be pouring refreshing ciders, wine, spirits and MORE!

Getting There
The Domain is located on the corner of Art Gallery Road and Hospital Road, Sydney.
The main entrance will be near this corner, and guests are encouraged to take public transport.
