On National Science Week, learn about the Parklands, meet the native animal residents and let your curiosity guide you as Dickens Lawn transforms into a pop-up village of scientific delights!

Find your inner scientist through hands-on, family-friendly science experiments and displays, learn bush survival skills with Greater Sydney Parklands’ educators at the Bush Craft Village, and watch for the incredible roaming dinosaur, who returns for a prehistoric tour through the swamp!
As you visit over 25 awe-inspiring stalls, you’ll meet real-life scientists, biologists, geologists and researchers on a family day you won’t forget.
It’s free to attend, and there will be food trucks, picnic areas, and fun science activities to entertain adults and children alike!
Science in the Swamp will run rain or shine. However, it may be cancelled in extreme weather conditions. If the event is cancelled, a message will be posted on the website and social media channels.
Dogs are welcome to join the fun. However, they ask that you always keep your dog on a leash during the event and keep your pooch away from food stalls.
