Supanova Comic Con & Gaming Sydney 2025 Dates, Tickets & Guests

Supanova Comic Con & Gaming has been the welcoming home of Australia’s pop culture fandom since 2000; a place where fans inspired by imaginary worlds emanating from comics, sci-fi, fantasy, anime, gaming, nostalgia and literature have been able to come together to celebrate. A place to rejoice in cosplay (‘cos’tume role-‘play’) in expressing your inner geek, your inner child.

Supa-Star celebrities, fan-clubs, exciting exhibitors and exclusives have been woven in with entertainment technology, collectables, toys and four-colour fun.

At the very heart of it, though, is the opportunity Supanova provides to aspiring talent, artists, and creators as a local national platform to showcase their work to an adoring public that enjoys and enthusiastically embraces newly invented worlds. Our community of fans is ready to jump on for another adventure in helping catapult projects towards the stars!

It’s that passion for the next great adventure that beats at the very core of what Supanova Comic Con & Gaming is all about so jump aboard and whether you’re seven or seventy, it’s going to be a blast!

Kilted & Distilled: An Outlandish Adventure in Oz!

Promising to be a “dram” good time, Kilted & Distilled ticket holders will have the exclusive opportunity to meet Sam Heughan in Sydney this June, with this special event coinciding with and being hosted by Supanova. Best known for his role as Jamie Fraser in STARZ’s hit series Outlander, Sam has additionally gained acclaim as a whisky distiller, releasing his very own blended Scotch, The Sassenach.

Two unique ticket types, aptly titled Kilted & Distilled: Lallybroch and Fraser’s Ridge, are being offered with inclusions ranging from intimate VIP meet and greets to panel access, photo-ops and autographs. However, the event’s top-shelf offering is undoubtedly the chance to share a Scotch with the fan-favourite Scotsman!

Lallybroch pass holders can sample Sam’s award-winning blend themselves at an exclusively 18+ whisky tasting, featuring the star himself as your bartender! This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Outlander fans is sure to go down smoothly, so don’t be left on the rocks, as tickets will be strictly limited.

That’s not all the “outlandish” news. Fans of Kilted and Distilled also have full access to Supanova in Sydney, featuring Heughan’s series co-stars David Berry a.k.a. Lord John Grey and Richard Rankin, Outlander’s Roger Wakefield Mackenzie, with prioritised access to Berry and Rankin’s panels, signatures, and photo-ops across the weekend.

Further information on Meet-and-Greet, Panel, Photo-Op, and Whiskey Tasting times will be available closer to the June event.

Cosplay HQ

Cosplay HQ is the hub of all cosplay activity at Supanova! Here’s where to check in for the Competition and Showcase, visit the Cosplay Repair Station, and chat with the Cosplay Team throughout the day!

Steamkittens Photobooth

Getting a costume together in time for an event is an achievement well worth celebrating by immortalising it with a fabulous photo! The cosplay photo booth will be running all weekend, and it’s a fantastic opportunity to come along, strike a pose, and have your picture taken by the Resident Cosplay Photographer, Steamkittens!

Cosplay Repair Station

Cosplay HQ is also the home of the Cosplay Repair Station, powered by experienced friends from the Cosplay Repair Guild! We’ve all had that dreadful moment at a convention: a costume malfunction, usually at the worst time. Something that was stuck when you left home has become dramatically unstuck. Something needs sewing. Something needs hot glue. Something needs pinning, stapling, or all of the above.

Thankfully, the Cosplay HQ Repair Station will help with all cosplay repair problems over the weekend. The skilled team can assess and repair your costume, give you quality advice, and get you out and ready for your photo shoots and onto the stage for the competition.

Cosplay Group Photo-Ops

Want to get an incredible shot of your costume with a swarm of like-minded and like-costumed Supa-Fans? Join the mega-meetups happening all weekend, representing many fandoms and shows, to create some incredible group photo moments! They’ll have a full Photo-Op Schedule out a little closer to the event, so stay tuned!

For those wanting to get an autograph or photo from their favorite celebrity, you will need to buy a token either online in advance or at the show. Queue for your favourite, hand over your token, and have your item signed! It’s that easy!

Getting There

There are several ways to travel to the Sydney Showground at Olympic Park. The public transport system in Sydney uses the electronic Opal card, which can be purchased and topped up at newsagents, 7Eleven outlets, and train stations.

Train
Olympic Park train station is right across the road from the venue. Olympic Park services operate every 10 minutes between Lidcombe and Olympic Park stations (via the T7 Olympic Park line).

Drive
Sydney Olympic Park is accessible by road, with the M4, Victoria Road and Parramatta Road nearby.

Parking
There are a number of parking options around Olympic Park. Car parks are open 24/7 and cost $7 per hour, up to a maximum fee of $35 per day.

If you intend to drive and park, Sydney Showground recommends pre-booked parking as some spaces may fill quickly.

Bus
Buses operate direct services to Olympic Park from several locations, including Lidcombe, Strathfield and Parramatta.

Taxi
The closest taxi rank is located on Herb Elliott Avenue, near the Pullman Hotel; however, there may be a significant wait on Saturday Evening.

You may also want to try one of the many ride-share apps available.
