The Sydney Fringe Comedy is a month-long comedy festival featuring performers from Australia and abroad. Up to as many as 18 shows occur at The Factory Theatre in Marrickville each night during the festival.
The festival is known for showcasing never-before-seen material from established and emerging comedians.

To help kick off Sydney Fringe Comedy, Fresh Cuts at the Factory Theatre will showcase some of the up-and-coming faces of comedy mixed in with our festival favourites. This show is guaranteed to have you permanently laughing. You will be buzzing all night. It will be layered with laughs. Your stomach will be curling. It will be packed full of texture. Ok, you get the jist.
Forget your worries, let your hair down and get ready for a follicle-fuelled frenzy of laughs – where every joke is a shear delight.
Getting There
To get to The Factory Theatre by bus, the 423 and 426 bus routes stop on Victoria Road outside the venue. The 428 turns off at Addison Road near the Vic on the Park Hotel, a 2-minute walk from the Factory. These services operate from the city via Central Station.
To get here by train, The Factory Theatre is a 20-minute walk or a 5-minute bus ride from Newtown Railway Station. Bus services 423, 426 and M30 operate from Newtown Station to the Factory Theatre. These services are reasonably frequent and continue late into the evening (after midnight).
The Factory Theatre is also a 15-minute walk from Sydenham and Marrickville Railway Stations.
