Sydney Royal Easter Show 2025 Tickets, Dates, Address & Showbags
Excitement is building for the 2025 Sydney Royal Easter Show, and this year promises to be bigger and better than ever! New attractions, New rides, New entertainment, New food, and so many returning favourites!
Music from the street parade floats from somewhere around the corner. The aroma of spinning fairy floss and fresh cinnamon doughnuts fills the air. A young Mum, full of excitement for the day ahead, is literally being pulled in different directions. Her son is desperate to go into the Showbag pavilion, her daughter is begging to see the puppies at the dog show, and she can’t wait to wander through the arts and crafts displays. Certainly, there will be scones in an hour or so, a chip on a stick while cheering at Woodchop stadium, and they all want to pat a piglet and watch the shearing of the sheep.
That’s the draw of the Sydney Royal Easter Show—so much to do and something for everyone! There’s nowhere else in the world to see so many country animals up close and then ride on the big rainbow slide. It’s a question of what to see first…Mum makes the decision: it’s puppies first!
With all your family favourites, new activities, carnival rides and amazing new food options, the Sydney Royal Easter Show is still the best place to be!
Families come to the show to enjoy the vast array of carnival games and rides. Kids also watch and learn about farming, animals and living off the land. Kids can also get close to many farm animals, which they can feed and pet.
Australians consider the annual Show part of the fabric of Australian culture. For many families, it is a central part of their holidays and family celebrations, with children saving gold coins in their money boxes all year to go to the Show. Memories that last a lifetime and span generations are made at the Show. It’s a place of wonder and excitement, a place for learning, celebrating, and so much more!
The Sydney Royal Easter Show brings—to the middle of Sydney’s urban business district at Sydney Olympic Park—the equivalent of a country town of 50,000 people, with everything a country town should have: farmers, animals, a working dairy, livestock auctions, veterinarians, restaurants, bars, a radio station, a history museum, child care facilities, education classes for school students, public amenities, accommodations to sleep 1000 people on-site every night of show, an Honorary Mayor, even Easter church services, and the list goes on.
Add everything a city audience wants: a farmyard petting zoo, multiple shopping districts, food trucks, souvenirs and carnival rides. And that’s not even touching the entertainment, which is massive in scale.
First held in 1823, the Sydney Royal Easter Show is Australia’s largest annual ticketed event, attracting an average of over 828,000 attendees. The Show celebrates Australian culture, from our rural traditions to our modern-day lifestyles, providing unique experiences for everyone. Revenue generated by it allows the RAS to invest in agricultural programs, competitions, education, youth, and rural NSW.
The 2024 Show boasted a total of 156 performance groups, comprised of 7,323 performers. And fireworks, we can’t forget the fantastic fireworks that explode their brilliance in the night sky 12 nights in a row! The beauty and heart of the Show is that it allows people to experience agriculture, to embrace it, to understand it, and to recognise the importance of it.
Food lovers will also be excited to know that the show offers an exciting range of food and drink stalls. Each stall provides award-winning produce, regional wines, finger food and homemade desserts. Furthermore, the show offers cooking workshops and engaging programs for adults and kids alike.
Kids also love going to the Showbag Pavilion, where they can purchase a range of goodies all packed into one awesome show bag! There are chocolates, lollies, toys, costumes for the kids and a range of cooking, fashion and sports showbags for adults. Buying a show bag at the Royal Easter Show is a tradition, so check out the range available.
During the day, the Sydney Royal Easter Show hosts demonstrations, competitions, fun rides and live shows. At night, the fun continues with carnival rides, food tasting and a spectacular fireworks display. Hello,
We live in Brisbane and we are in a lock down COVID19 until 5pm tomorrow and so we are unable to fly to Sydney 5 am 1.4.21. If we travel to Sydney we will need to isolate preventing us from attending the Royal Easter Show as we were going to fly home on the 5.4.21
So I was wondering if I could organise a refund of 4 tickets.
Hi Cherryl,
I am sorry to hear that you have had to put your holiday on hold.
I have looked through all of the FAQs information on the official website and also on their Facebook page, and there is no mention of ticket refunds due to COVID restrictions – especially if you are going from out of state (it would likely be a whole different story if Sydney had COVID restrictions).
I don’t know the full terms and conditions of the show or Ticketmaster, but on https://www.eastershow.com.au/legal/terms-and-conditions/, it does state that “Unless allowed by law, you are not able to exchange or refund this ticket”, but since this is out of your hands, i would suggest you get in contact with their customer service with the details listed at https://www.eastershow.com.au/about-us/contact-us/
Their phone number is (02) 9704 1000, while their email is [email protected].
Thanks
Michael
