The Airport Link is a railway line that provides easy access from the Sydney Airport to the CBD, as well as suburbs located southwest of the city.
The Link is sometimes referred to as the New Southern Railway or the Airport Line. Its operations are managed by the Airport Link Company, with line services made available by Sydney Trains T2 Airport Line.

From here, the line proceeds to Green Square Station – right below the point where Botany Road and Bourke Road intersect. The line then leads up to Mascot Station before turning west and finally arriving at Sydney Airport. The line then heads west below the terminals from where it continues to join the East Hills line. This allows the Airport Link to serve both the Domestic and International terminals.
With services available for both local and international visitors, travellers can move quickly between the domestic and international terminals at the airport, with the trip taking approximately 15 minutes. To use the Airport Link, purchase a single-trip Opal Card.
The Airport Link is a necessary form of transport between Sydney Airport, the CBD and select Sydney suburbs. To get to the Kings Cross area, get on the Airport Link and then change at Central Station. Kings Cross Station is the third station from Central Station on the T4 Eastern Suburbs and Illawarra Line. If you want to head to Manly, catch the train and alight at Circular Quay station. Then go to Wharf 3 and take the ferry to Manly.
The Airport Link is open from 5am through to midnight, seven days a week.
