Camden is a town located 65 kilometres from the CBD in Sydney. It serves as the centre of administration for Camden Council and marks an essential part of the Macarthur region.

The region presently referred to as Camden originally belonged to an indigenous group of people known as the Gandangara people. However, the arrival of European explorers led to conflicts which saw the death of many of the community’s members. Years later, part of the land was given to John Macarthur (the man after whom the region is named). Macarthur established several industries that saw the development of the area and a subsequent increase in population.

Today, Camden makes for an attractive destination and this charming town is the perfect way to explore rural Sydney. Visit Belgenny Farm located within Camden Park Estate for the tour of a lifetime.
